Laying The Foundation

Kingdom First Ministries, Int'l is a ministry that is built upon a rock.  We are not only a Spirit-Filled Ministry living  a Kingdom Life, but in order to live as a Citizen of The Kingdom of God, you must be found living the foundational truths that govern The Kindgom of God.

Many believer's have been swayed; tossed to and fro by every wind and doctrine and preached happy to, causing them to live according to a revealation, rather than scriptural foundational-revealed present-day truths.  Apostles and Prophets are responsible for the foundation of the church.  (Ephesians 2:20)

Our leadership follows strict guidelines for discipleship training and apostolic/prophetic mentoring for our Son's & Daughters of the ministry.  Here on this page, you can obtain a copy of our Discipleship Application and become a part of this ministry and the work that our Lord Jesus Christ has commissioned to us.

The application is in Microsoft Word 2007 formate.  If you are unable to view the application by clicking the link, please contact the ministry and we will provide a hard-copy for you to fill out.  Once you have filled out the application, you may either visit our location and turn it in or return it to us in the mail at:

Foundational Truths

Laying The Foundation

Luke 6:39-49 (KJV)

And he spake a parable unto them, Can the blind lead the blind?  Shall they not both fall into the ditch?

The disciple is not above his master:  but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.

And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but perceivest not the beam that is in thine own eye?

Either how canst thou say to thy brother, Brother, let me pull out the mote that is in thine eye, when thou thyself beholdest not the beam that is in thine own eye?  Thou hypocrite, cast out first the beam out of thine own eye, and then shalt thou see clearly to pull out the mote that is in thy brother’s eye.

For a good tree bringeth not forth corrupt fruit; neither doth a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

For every tree is known by his own fruit.  For of thorns men do not gather figs, nor of a bramble bush gather they grapes.

A good man out of the good treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart bringeth forth that which is evil:  for the abundance of the heart his mouth speaketh.

And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?

Whosever cometh to me, and heareth my sayings, and doeth them, I will shew you to whom he is like:

He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock:  and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it:  for it was founded upon a rock.

But he that heareth, and doeth not, is like a man that without a foundation built an house upon the earth; against which the stream did beat vehemently, and immediately it fell; and the ruin of the house was great.

Hebrews 6:1-3

Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgement.

And this will we do, if God permit.

What Is A Foundation?

Foundation:  spiritually is the basis of sound doctrine and experiences of The Kingdom of God.  The term “foundation” comes from the language of building and architecture.  A solid and stable foundation is necessary to support the superstructure of any building.  The taller the building, the deeper the foundation must be.

Please, familiarize yourself with the scripture text above.  You are therefore, responsible and accountable for the memorization and the understanding of these scriptures throughout this teaching.

And are built upon the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being the chief corner stone;

In whom all the building fitly framed together growth unto an holy temple in the Lord:

In whom ye also are builded together for an habitation of God through the Spirit.

Ephesians 2:20-22

According to the writer of the Book of Hebrews he put it into terms of first principles.  We must have these experiences before maturing in Christ.  We cannot have a building permit to erect the edifice until the Holy Spirit, God’s building inspector, finds our foundation ready.  The following are transforming encounters with the risen Christ:

  • Repentance from Dead Works
  • Faith toward God
  • Doctrine of Baptisms
  • Laying on of Hands
  • Resurrection of the Dead
  • Eternal Judgment

From Hebrews 6:1-3, we will examine and study the foundational stones of the Christian life and the foundational principles of The Kingdom of God.

Foundational Stones

This term “foundational stones” is utilized, to help us emphasize the distinctness of each truth to be believed and experienced.

  1. We are built upon the foundation which is Christ by the Holy Spirit and through the ministry of those who labor with God.

For we are labourers together with God:  ye are God’s husbandry, ye are God’s building.

According to the grace of God which is given unto me, as a wise masterbuilder, I have laid the foundation, and another buildeth theron.  But let every man take heed how he buildeth thereupon.

For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ.

1 Corinthians 3:9-11

  1. The foundational doctrines were brought to us through the apostles and prophets who received the inspired Scriptures.

*See (Ephesians 2:20 above).

  1. As Christ becomes our foundation through experience, we are made able to worship and find our place in His Church.

To whom coming, as unto a living stone, disallowed indeed of men, but chosen of God, and precious,

Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to God by Jesus Christ.

Wherefore also it is contained in the scripture, BEHOLD, I LAY IN SION A CHIEF CORNER STONE, ELECT, PRECIOUS:

AND HE THAT BELIEVETH ON HIM SHALL NOT BE CONFOUNDED.

Unto you therefore which believe he is precious:  but unto them which be disobedient, THE STONE WHICH THE BUILDERS DISALLOWED, THE SAME IS MADE THE HEAD OF THE CORNER,

AND A STONE OF STUMBLING, AND A ROCK OF OFFENCE, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient:  whereunto also they were appointed.

1 Peter 2:4-8

Masons or the Masonic Lodge disallowed, rejected and set aside the corner stone, because it was different from all other stones.  It did not fit into any of the unusual places.

Israel also rejected her own Messiah, because He didn’t fit into their expectations.  The first truth in terms of life-transforming experiences and the first foundational kingdom principle or “foundation stones” will not fit our mindset of religion and traditions of men.  As we begin to build with these foundational stones, we must be prepared to start all over form the beginning with the very first one, which is called, “Repentance form Dead Works”.  This is repudiation of tradition and unworkable theories.

Notice that the writer in the Book of Hebrews is telling us to leave the principles of the doctrine of Christ.  He is literally telling us to go on from the beginning.  We are not to stop and constantly review the first elementary truths we learned in Christ.  It is possible to leave them not in the sense of forsaking them but in the sense of using them as a firm grounding underneath us while we reach on to higher truths.  This can be done sense these first truths form a foundation and establish us in such a way that these truths will no longer slip away from us.  As always, we trust in the Lord, Jesus Christ and continue to seek first, The Kingdom of God in all areas.

Themelios (the-me-li-os) is the greek word for “Foundation”.  The verb form not only means laying the foundation, but to ground someone, to establish them, or to render firm and unwavering.  We should have such a real experience with God; a demonstration of The Kingdom of God in both power and understanding, through the obedience of His word through these foundational truths that are set on a firm footing for the remainder of our Kingdom life and Christian walk.

Do Not Neglect Your Spiritual Foundation

Remember…You are accountable for everything you learn.  When you fail to put into practice what you have learned from God, you only fool yourself.  He will require you to do everything you have studied, learned and heard.

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearer only, deceiving your own selves.

James 1:22

If we make a habit of not doing what we are told, we soon become lawless, and eventually will be called “workers of iniquity, or lawlessness”.

Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name?  and in thy name have cast out devils?  And in thy name done many wonderful works?

And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you:  depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Matthew 7:21-23

  • God tests our submission to His Lordship on the basis of obeying His words, and laying each of these foundation stones is a command.  We become a part of God’s people-His Church-The Kingdom of God-by being joined to Christ through foundational experiences.

Therfore thus saith the Lord God, Behold I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious stone, a sure foundation:  he that believeth shall not make haste.

Isaiah 28:16

  • Only as we experience Christ in these foundation truths can we become different people.

Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his.  And, Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.

2 Timothy 2:19

  • We must understand that there is a test in our future for this life now and there is the judgment of God in the next life.

Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life.

1 Timothy 6:19

  • We will not continue growing if we fail to lay some foundation stones in our lives; we will remain babes on “milk.”

For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.

For every one that useth milk is unskillful in the word of righteousness:  for he is a babe.

Hebrews 5:12,13

Emphasis Upon Laying The Foundation

The bible gives us clear evidence that trials and tribulations will come against each believer to test his or her  faith.  If we are to properly advance The

Kingdom of God and insure that our life is Christ is built on a solid rock and not on shifting sand we must know the importance of having a sure foundation.

We must understand the importance of the foundation and insure that our life in Christ is built on a solid rock and not on shifting sand.

Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:

And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not:  for it was founded upon a rock.

And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand:

And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell:  and great was the fall of it.

Matthew 7:24-27

There is a lot of revelation being revealed here in the scripture and Jesus was teaching the people that stood by and listened in His time, some very sound doctrine.  This doctrine is the principle understanding of building and applying a solid foundation in the Word of God.  No matter how difficult times may get for you as a believer, you are sure to stand strong and not be moved with the floods and winds of life come your way, because you have been founded upon a solid rock.  Glory To God!

Our prayer for you that are viewing this course, that you be established in the faith and you are perfected for the work of the ministry and the edifying of the Body of Christ.  Please, take a moment and answer the questions below.  From here on there will be a Q & A session during live teachings and internet discussions.  Praise God!
